The ins and outs of Party Pills

What are they?

Party pills are mind-altering substances, which are designed to mimic the effects of drugs such as Methamphetamine (P), MDMA (Ecstasy) and LSD. Originally, they were made from two main ingredients: Benzylpiperazine ( BZP) and Trifluro-Methyl-Phenylpiperazine. However, in 2008, New Zealand declared BZP a class C1 controlled drug, making it illegal to buy or sell.

Since then, retailers have begun selling BZP free party pills. These are made up of caffeine, citrus aurantium, Geranium extract and other unknown ingredients. Retailers usually describe these as 'natural' or 'herbal' ingredients, however they are reluctant to say what exactly these ingredients are and what the adverse effects can be.
